Default Where oh where did the anime nights go?

I was curious, now that the Otaku Society will potentially be dissolved into cassa, etc. are Animu nights still viable?

My suggestion was, since roughly ten percent of the organisation are anime fans, we should do at least one anime night, but make it based on requests, i.e, bring your own shit, etc.

Another question, are the movie nights still going ahead as well?? those were awesome!

Yeah would be cool to organise one. I've got a few themes in mind if you want me to make a thread about it. Where did cassa used to hold them?

    Hi

I was of the understanding that the Otaku Society was being taken over by POWA (Perth Otaku's of WA). If anyone knows differently please tell me, otherwise I'll try to find out more info.

There was an exec decision regarding this. It was decided that there wasn't enough of a turnout to the regular movie nights to justify the effort that went into managing them. The exec team decided that rather then scraping them altogether the Movie Nights were changed into "The Movie Night" i.e. where we make a group booking (to get a discount) at a cinema and all go to see something special like Iron Man 2/whatever.

If you or anyone else is interested in organising a movie night then approach someone on the exec committee OR attend a General Meeting (like the one being held TONIGHT) and pipe up about it.

Just so everyone knows. As the president of Otaku Society. We are not being dissolved into anyone. CASSA doesn't really want the responsibility and I have a full time job that does not allow me the time to be running after all 5 of the people who would show up to the nights. It was a lot of work for not a lot of return. Although it is likely that sometime in the coming months Drink-It-Up Fridays may see a return to the Mount Lawley Lawn Bowls Club for karaoke and beer.

    Adieu

I think I used to have a life... I'm not sure where I left it... Probably at #45 on the stats...
